| Scheme
Progress - 31 August 2004
This is
the final report on the Scheme.
As works are drawing to a close there
is infact very little to report. The final few slabs to the
rear of Castle Road plus the joint sealing and handrailing
will be completed by the end of this week.
On the large rock structure, the final
slabs were constructed last week and the wall will be complete
by the end of this week. A sand pit is being constructed on
the foreshore to the east of the structure and some of the
spare rocks have been placed in the area as wind breaks, seats
or tables.
The repairs to the seawall nosing will
be completed by the middle of next week and the resurfacing
of the maintenance gangway starts on Monday next.
The site offices will be demobilised
during next week.
Some recent photos of the works are
attached.
